Broomfield Dems Update

Hello Broomfield Dems -

Spring is definitely here!  The Caucus, Assemblies and Conventions -- with the exception of our National Convention -- are behind us and it is time to turn an eye toward our upcoming elections.

To help us understand the election strategy for 2012, we are honored to have a special guest this Wednesday, May 9, at our monthly meeting.  Carrie Doyle, President Obama's State Director, made room in her busy schedule to share some time with the Broomfield Dems this Wednesday.  Take advantage of this opportunity!

Carrie is a long time advocate for Colorado and Progressives.  She is the past Executive Director of Colorado Conservation Voters and has spent years making our State one of the best in the Nation.  President Obama recognized that about Carrie and appointed her as his Director in Colorado.  Come to the meeting, listen to Carrie as she roles out the Obama strategy, find out how you can help, and share your ideas with Carrie and other like-minded Dems.

On a different note, Broomfield is hosting the Metro Chairs meeting this Tuesday evening.  This is a first for Broomfield and we are proud of our County Party.  County Chairs from across the State will gather to discuss their upcoming plans, their successes and learning experiences.  Broomfield Officers who attend will share the gems they gleaned at Wednesday's monthly meeting.  It is always interesting to learn from our "big brothers and sisters".

Finally, as you know, Brayden Portillo, our Second Vice-chair, is a Delegate to the National Convention in Charlotte, NC, Sep 3 - 7.  Start thinking of what message you want Brayden to take with him as he represents Broomfield at the DNC this fall.

See you this Wednesday, 6:30 to 8:00 at Sill-TerHar Motors.

Thank you,

Judy Enderle, Chair
